About Us
Company Profile
JRS Petroleum Research was incorporated in 2000 to meet the demand for high quality, cutting edge petroleum geomechanics and image log solutions tailored for petroleum exploration and production companies.
The company is a commercial spin off from the highly successful 'stress group' at the Australian School of Petroleum (ASP) previously led by Professor Richard Hillis, one of three research groups in the world focusing on the application of in situ stresses in the energy sector.
The consultancy targets the oil and gas exploration and production industry in the Australasian region with the intention of moving into the Middle East and Europe. The main focus of our work is providing geomechanical and image log related services utilising our own proprietary software as a platform for unified data storage, processing and analysis. Our aim is to make sense of our client’s data to increase the efficiency of oil recovery, reducing drilling costs and minimising exploration risk. The company has also applied its expertise to solving problems related to CO2 sequestration, geothermal energy and coal bed methane.
JRS has Australian offices located in Adelaide and Perth. If you would like to find out more about the services we offer or have any other queries then please do not hesitate to contact us.
